they are out of the small rods of multi (another of my favorite) and the man on the phone (CR Looo) suggested i get hunks of the cane (those big honkers that furnace workers use) and pull out my own rods, sounded very interesting and helpful. So purples rose is on the list, thank you so much for your suggestion.

Is it just 96?

If you can get 104,
Strawberry
Black
Multicolor
Magic

These colors are available in 96, as well, except Magic. I haven't tried the 104 black but I know that the 96 Multicolor is better than the 104. Much easier to strike.

their stiff black is really good for fine stringer (104) and retains its blackness (rather than being purplish)

I like:

Iris Orange
Lt Iris Gold & Iris Yellow (love both equally)
Light Beige
Opal Pigeon Blue
Czar Blue
Czar Green
Jade Green

These are all 96. I use Uroboros Black & Clear. (Well, all the Uroboros colors, actually.)

Absolutely agree on the multicolor. But for the price, the 104 is still nice.

The black stays black.

You do realize that all of the 104 colors are more expensive than the 96 versions, right?

Yes. When I reference the price of multicolor, I am comparing to other striking colors. I use both 104 and 96. Just starting to use the 96 more, because I love to be able to frit it up as much as I want.

If you have Uroboros Black, use that as your base with any of the Raku type colors. The colors pop like crazy! Opal Almond, too.
