How do you make a bead into a fan pull?

Is it a regular bead? Or is there something that I put the bead onto?

If there's a link I couldn't find it so feel free to point me in the right direction.

Wire up your bead like a pendant and attach it to one of these:

You can get the components at Ace in brass, nickle and sometimes stainless.

I must have ordered the bolts from another site to bolt my beads down to the finial piece. They have a chain pull that screws into the finial and that makes your fan pull.

I had a really good time making finials ... I remembered getting in major trouble when I was a child for taking the glass finials off all the lamps and playing with them in the sunlight. A glass addict from the beginning.
