Question Propane: do you bleed long pipe?

I just installed about 20 feet of 1/2" black pipe from the propane tank outside to the torch, inside.

From the posts I have read, the recommendation is to bleed the line at the end of torching.

That is a lot of gas to bleed!!

I couldn't find if the bleeding is related to hoses only?

Maybe with hard piping, all is needed is to shut off the valve at the tank outside? Well, and at the pick up inside and bleed just the hose from pick up to torch?

Thanks for the help!

Shut it off where it comes inside and bleed to the torch.
