Default my production studio

i know most of you all work in small single torch studios

here are some pics of my production studio. everything is up to local and state building codes. been in biz 10 years, 6 years at this location

specs are 1300 sqft, 7200 cfm squirl cage exaust fan, 2400 inline fan for the downspouts
2 deltas, 2 mirages, 2 phantoms. three digital kilns, 7200 cfm swamp cooler make up air, 3 700/1300watt quartz radient heaters, stainless steel bench tops 10'x4' with 1/2" lip, arm rests, "dust free" chairs, compact floresent lighting, speakers in the hoods for music with 30gb mp3 player. all the plumbing is hard-lined 100 gal propane tank, 2 liquid O2 in a concrete containment unit 50ft from building plumbed 3' underground.

the downspouts are 6" holes with removeable screens on them that go to a filter box for any dust, or scraps and easy clean up.

what do you think?
any questions?

Speakers in the hoods......that's really cool! I have my speakers mounted outside my hood, but it's just me in my garage. At any rate, this looks like a fantastic setup. What kind of glass are you working with, and what kind of pieces are you making?

custom made marver, by darby in Grants pass oregon.

the black thing is an arm rest, its faux leather wraped around 2" foam stapled to a 2x4, mounted on L brackets. they are stationary but work really well.

I was wondering how far the deltas are from the back wall? (I've always been afraid to have mine near a wall, but my walls aren't metal, either.)

Thanks,
Mary

Is the 10' for both people, or for one person? I can't tell for sure but it looks like each person's work area is about 4 to 6 feet to me from the photo. I would love to have one of your double stations since the two of us both work glass.

10' should be plenty for two people to work....simax (boro) rods are 5" so that gives you enough room to break one down on the torch without getting in your neighbors way.

Safe, clean, bright, open - what a great work area! Looks like your team has it good! It's like the anti-sweatshop! Very cool, thank you for sharing. -Heather
