What colors to mix to make Effetre "Earth?"
So, Earth is no longer available, and it's popping up on auction sites for more than I want to pay. Many of the "Cool Colors" are just mixes of existing colors, so does anybody have suggestions of what I should try to duplicate this one? I'm guessing petroleum green is one of the ingredients...
And, while I'm at it, are the "Avorio" colours just lapis and ivory?

As far as the Avorio, I think they pretty much are combos. I made my own with dark lapis and ivory. My rod is not as pretty LOL but works well. I haven't tried the others.
Personally, I found Earth a bit of a disappointment. There was limited marbling or dual color. Mostly just for a different kind of blue but I wouldn't pay lots for it at all. I know how it gets when you get hooked on the idea of a color. Not sure what the closest blue would be, perhaps a Lauscha?

So what I hear you saying, Kristin, is that you're going to sell me your Earth, cheap, since it's no good anyway?

I only had a few rods, but I wasn't making big beads at the time either.
Hmm, you might try CIM French Blue to mix with the Petroleum. It looks close to me.

I don't know if it possible to mix Earth, but if I was going to try it, my first attempt would be to loosely mix Turquoise or Dark Sky Blue with the lightest Cobalt.

Maybe mix Medium Cobalt Pastel 2/3 and Emerald Pastel 1/3? (216 Grass Green not Emerald)
Batches of Earth varied, some mottle a lot, some not as much.
It's one of my favorite colors.

I'm not familiar with emerald pastel but I think Lt. turquoise is close to the color I get from Earth-with a light cobalt color. I think pet. green might have the right reactions but would probably be too dark.

I don't think it has any green in it, but I could be wrong. If either of those two colours were involved, they would pretty much take over.

I would think maybe copper green and medium cobalt opaque. I use a neutral flame so my copper green stays green. If I have time to play over the weekend (stupid respiratory virus allowing) then I will post pix. I used to do a lot of mixing, so this looks like fun to me.
