Holly Cooper TWO Week Class at Arrowmont! 6/30-7/13
In June/July I'll be teaching an intense two week class at the Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts in the beautiful Great Smoky Mountains.

This is a unique opportunity to learn and play at the same time!

In this workshop, the instructor will open the door to her original approach toward modular stringer design and special surface techniques. During the first week, the class will focus on the application of stringer, shaping and design principals. Then, building on the previous week, the focus will be on shifting to experimentation and exploration of metal leaf, enamels and other special materials as a way of enriching and enlivening the surface of the bead. There will be ample time for exploration with plenty of student/teacher interaction. The goal of the class is to stimulate and provoke the imagination to see the bead-making process in a whole new light. The workshop requires some flame-working experience with the ability to make simple shapes.

Arrowmont is a fabulous experience in itself! I've been 4 or 5 times and have loved every minute of my stay - considered it a mini playcation for me.
