Photo images/text tutorial?
It seems like there are a fair number of dream bead requests for complex things, like the Lord's prayer, the Marines logo, an image of a famous person, etc., which can't really be done well in lampwork.
I know there is a method of copying an image and firing it onto a bead, but I don't know the particulars.
Can someone please post a quick tutorial and details about the necessary type of copier toner? maybe sources for the paper and clear enamel?
I think this technique would really open up our dream bead options.
Maybe this would be a good Soda Lime Times tutorial? To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

There is a tutorial for this that can be purchased and for the life of me I can't find it. I'll keep looking though. I'm sure someone out there has it and can at least lead you to the person that made tht tutorial.
Try posting this request in the bathroom since there's alot of traffic in that room.

Yes, there is one. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. You can also use low fire decals that you get at the ceramic suppliers. Hothead or Nortel Major/minor on an oxycon. Ex-hole stole the big torches after putting them on the inventory.

Thanks! That's what I was needing! My only concern is the trial and error involved in the printing/copying.
There's a girl in Beads of Courage who wants a Justin Bieber bead -- and I certainly don't trust my talents to make anything that wouldn't send her screaming!

What a good idea. I've wracked my brain trying to figure out how to do some of those beads myself.

What temp is required for "low-fire" ceramic decals?

I went looking and apparently it is annealing temperatures. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. Angelique

She said it's very thorough. I haven't had a chance to go there yet though.
