Default Need a help

I guess I am not really a newbie, just a newbie to Oxy / Propane. I am limited to working in an upstairs bedroom with good ventilation and safety issues all worked out. I have a 5LPM and a 10LPM concentrator but still no torch as I can't make up my mind what I want. I am doing beads and marbles but really want to move into paperweights and especially boro. Any suggestions on torches would be appreciated but I would rather get the right torch the first time than end up wanting to upgrade in a year or so while I have money to burn.

what is the psi that the oxygen concentrators produce? if they're the same (or really close) you can daisy chain them together for more volume. if they're far apart in output pressure (like 5psi and 15psi) you can't really link them w/o damaging them. if they're like 8 and 10, that's probably close enough to work. best bet would be to get a holding tank and even better an oil less compressor to boost the pressure to near tanked pressures.

with that amount of oxygen being produced you're somewhat limited in torches you can efficiently run. i'd look into a nortel midrange w/premix top fire or a gtt lynx.

what kind of experience do you have?

I believe "oilers" was supposed to be 'oil-less'.

Oil and compressed oxygen tends to go "BOOM".
Really makes the insurance companies smile because they won't have to pay for the damages and they get a good reason to stop insuring you.

The injuries aren't too pleasant either.

ETA: You can run the center fire on the 5 lpm and the outer ring fire on the 10 lpm.
I'm a Cricket kid my self and have no suggestions on bigger torches.

Have you searched the Boro threads here?
