Default How Do you confirm your over seas orders?

I have a big order going to Japan and it's the first time she's bought from me. Well, I found out today that FedEx & UPS costs approx. $80 to get it from Florida to there with confirmation. USPS doesn't confirm anything outside the US. What do you do? I hate missing the sale but I want some kind of confirmation that the beads have arrived so it doesn't come back to bite me in the butt. HELP!!!!

Have shipped using USPS International First Class mail. At the time, for a 1.8 oz 6 x 9 inch padded envelope the shipping was $2.25. A bit more now. Insurance by U-Pic for $1.85.

U-pic is a third party insurance company.

I usually use ups for international postage.
The tracking continues once its left the states.
USPS ends at the border.

Thanks for the info! I haven't shipped overseas because I too didn't know how to safely ship.
