I'm wondering if this makes us an official glass commune?

OK -- i gotta tell ya all -- i'm a bit technically challenged . . . and i'm just going to fess up to it now.
i don't understand the yahoo group thing -- and was concerned when i saw there was a thread about reserving rooms --i don't look at it very often and i don't see a place to check to see where i am on the list to know when i'm suppose to chime in to reserve my room (paid a while ago). so -- not only do i work on a hot head (though am thinking seriously about upgrading), i know nothing about working any of the appendages attached to any of the numerous tv's in my house, and instant messaging and yahoo seem to very far outside my comfort zone. give me a mean chicken or a black raspberry bramble anytime before this techno stuff. . . . . speaking of that -- need to order more chickens over the internet that come in the mail to the post office -- squawking their heads off.
leslie
and -- most importantly, is it MAY yet?

If you actually get into the yahoo group sight - there is a list in the upper left hand corner - click on the "FILE" folder and that will take you to a plethora of info...
I'm sure Karla will contact you when it's your turn to choose a room. they are still pretty close to the top of the list I believe.
Chickens at the postoffice -- that gave me a a fabulous mental picture... lol and not to burst your bubble but -- no -- I keep looking everyday and it is NOT yet May... lol

Me too! This is going to sound stupid, but how do we "sign up" for stuff under the files section on the Yahoo group? Do we post in the messages thread or is there some way to edit a file to add stuff you are bringing or add your name to a class list?

Only the person who uploaded the file can edit it. I would probably just chime in the yahoogroups area to keep everything in one place.

Hiya Leslie! Don't worry about the Yahoo group! It is a confusing place! LOL!
As for the room sign ups...we're almost to you! I've got you marked down as bringing another person; would that be your hubby?
Anyway, to check the available rooms and room selection order, login to the Yahoo! group and click on the "Files" link like Becky suggested. There, you'll find a bunch of information related to the retreat. The files you'll want to focus on will be the "List of Attendees - Room Selection Order" and "Room Assignments - Condo Floor Plans". You may also want to read through the "Room Selection Guidelines & Instructions" file.
I hope that helps!
Thanks!
Karla

If any of the St. Louis peeps order mandrels, get unground and I can take them to work and grind them.

For the mandrels, does any one want them shipped, or do you want to wait till the retreat? It doesn't matter either way to me, just affects how much $ you need to send me.

I know where to find you BEFORE the Retreat!!
Are you getting the ones that we have to grind or the ones that are already ground? You probably already answered this, but I'm getting old & senile and the short term memory is really dumbing down!!

For myself I am getting the not ground ends. I will get whatever is wanted though...as long as it's two pound increments of whichever. Does that make sense?

I really don't care Venessa, I'll take what everyone else is getting. If someone wants ground ends and you need someone else for another pound, throw me into that group. I really will take it whichever way it comes!!! Not fussy.

Unground ends is fine with me. And, I can get mine any time. It's no problem for me to drive over there and get them, VE.

V - any idea how many 5/64 mandrels would be in a pound? I'm trying to decide how many lbs I would need.

Would any of you be interested in doing a woven treasure bracelet at the retreat? Robin Atkins or we could just do a woven pendant with dangled fringe? (I learned form Aletha Donathan) - I can make a hand out of the directions for everyone if I know how many before hand. LMK I can bring some c-lon thread. You bring the focal bead and a few beads to put on the ends for dangles. The more bling the betta. I'm gonna see if I can find a picture.
Ok here's a picture whatcha think?

How about the fringy pendant? I think Karla is teaching a woven treasure bracelet too (S. Sersich style) so it would be something different. I would love to learn that!

Patti I just posted a picture. But if Karla is doing Stephanies bracelet it might be to similar. But for those that know how to do it already it would be something different. Don't want to cause any problems - just wanna have fun!
