Hi Rebecca,
I'm glad you like the bead! I've only done a few in boro and as you can see I have a tough time working small!!
I think you attach the chicklets to a punty and melt them. But I'm not sure.

The box is on it's way to Lauren! Same box, I used this really scientific extra top secret way to fix up the cracked corner. I taped in the corner of a cardboard Rice-a-Roni box. Us east-coasters should keep an eye on it, you might have to go to the big guns, like a Cap'n Crunch corner or something. The post office lady said it was a really cool idea Val! She liked the box.

This is the bead that Paula sent. It fits in the palm of my hand it's so big!

Wow! Nice bead, Paula - you should really be posting more often!
Glad you saved the dday with the cereal box - what an ingenuous (and funny) girl you are!! Should be there anyday Lauren, so have fun with it...

Oh, and Rebecca - I'm telling the same thing to every flake of snow dropping by my window outside - Gosh darn it! Tomorrow IS the first day of Spring...

Lucky Lauren!!!!! Ya know Rebecca - we're gonna get along just fine! I also HATE the snow and cold, and I live in the midst of a ski-resort - fools that they are...
Had to go out today to forage for supplies and such - after also having been in since Friday...
Snow, snow go away.....

Ugh. Don't let Smircich see that shape.
Val I'd love to post more if I had anything to post. My torch time has gone down the tubes since I opened the studio. The only way I can figure out to possibly find more time in my life is to quit my job. Which I will do just as soon as I win lotto.

Greetings Val,
I went to the post office to pick up the boro box today. It must have arrived Friday but I was out of town and they left a tag for me. I haven't had a chance to open it and oogle all the goodies yet. I'll post a list of everything I take and put in tomorrow; I plan on having the box ready to ship out Wednesday. Thanks for setting this up Val!

I got the East Coast box today! Wahoo! I looked but didn't spend much time with it. I hope to have it on it's way by Saturday if not sooner. Rebecca sent me these awesome spiral earrings that I'll take a pic of to show off. Thanks so much sweetie! They're awesome! I'll post my pics as soon as I do them.

Well Val , THANKS ALOT I am throughly addicted. I would not have had the chance to try out some of this glass if it would not have been for the last 2 boxes. I did some hearts and a flower the other night and had so much fun I don't even want to touch my soft glass now. I wish one of you boro experts would come up with a color how to for this glass. It would make it so much easier for us Newbies. I hope you will do another box and I can get in on it again.
I will also say I don't know what the difference is but I am doing a soft glass box and have had nothing but problems with it staying moving I have to say I am impressed about how well these boxes have moved along. I want to do another soft glass one but I will be sure to not be soft about the rules. This has been awesome.
Thanks for doing this Val and including me. I will post some pictures soon I have to repair one of the petals of my flower but I have to say I loved working the glass and I didn't do to bad if I say so myself.

Hello Lori! So sorry, but I cannot be held responsible for another person's addiction - got my own addiction "thang" happening over here! ...but it was part of my secret master plan...(insert diabolical laughter here).

I'm so thrilled that you've come on over to the dark side - and cannot wait to see some of your pictures!!

I'd like to take this opportunity, once again, to thank all of our players for your continued cooperation and good spirit in keeping our boxes moving along.

Hope you have a happy weekend...

P.S.: I know a couple of you people out there took objection to my "gentle" reminders (which, btw, isn't fun for me either)...I am sorry about that, but it was a something that had to be done in order to keep things rollin'

...and yes, I will be hosting at least one more game after this one - have been trying to think up some kind of special twist: Got any ideas anyone...??!

Hey folks! I was hoping to get the East Coast box back on the road this morning but my car dying, car shopping, and a minor visit to the ER last night set me back a little. I have all my trades done for the most part and it should be on it's way Monday morning. I'll also post pics of My Spring Earrings from Rebecca too! They're so cool and she's one clever gal! Lol!

OK, I got the box today, woohoo!! First, Ari's gift is excellent that includes a large (1/4"?) mandrel and a thick chain bracelet to put the large holed beads onto. There's lotsa stuff I want to swap out tomorrow since there's lovely momka's colors I can replace with unobtainium, silver unob. and some other great colors from precision. I have most of their silvery colors, so this will be nice for the next person too. It's really exciting getting the boro-box, just to let you guys know, it's very nice of Val to organize this. OK I've been busy and slacking on the box. Got it Sat, didn't ship Monday or today, I'll seriously make my selections and get it shipped tomorrow. If I can't tonight, I'll make dh do it tomorrow for me

1 rod Silver Sands
2 rods Amazon Bronze
1 rod Indigo Luster
1 rod Gypsy Queen
1 rod Rainbow Blue
1 rod Unknown
2 of each color gun mount except only 1 black
1 sample rod Hyacinth
1 sample rod Plum Crazy

I put in...
1 steel cable choker
5 fan pull findings
1 set of 1/8" shank diamond bits
1 hollow tube mandrel 3/4"
1 stick of mushroom mili
1 zip bag of fine Blue Moon frit
1 rod Caribbean Coral
1 rod Blue Moon
1 rod Lava
1 rod Goldenrod
1 rod Exotic Citrus Grapfruit
1 rod Pthalo Blue

Thanks Val!

The East Coast box went on it's way yesterday morning to VA. The DC# is 03060320000084608569 and it's insured for $200. Have fun Joanie! The bright green thing is for you!
