Default Torch to Oxygen Concentrator outlet

Hey guys totally new to oxy/gas torches and I just purchased an everflo oxycon. Link: http://www.gophoto.it/view.php?i=htt...g#.UL00MeTLQ4o

So my question is can I just cut off the brass part that usually connects to an oxygen tank and slap that onto my oxycon like the connections to my torch, and tighten ones of those little metal clamps around it?

And second question, once everything is hooked up how to I control the propane regulator to get the flame going? What are you usually looking for on the dials?

Just want to make sure so I don't blow my self to bits and pieces.

Thank you.

Yes, and some regulators will not work well below 10 psi, 3-5 if you can get that depending on torch

You can cut off the b-fitting of your oxygen hose and clamp the bare end to the fitting on your concentrator.

If your torch as barb connections, you can also use 1/4" ID (inner diameter) clear vinyl tubing in place of the green welding hose.

There are also adaptors available to go from the concentrator outlet to a b-fitting on a green welding hose.

Standard welding oxygen brass fittings are used with this brand of concentrator. They often come in two packs for a $1.35.

These are from Airgas. The nut is RAD64003900 (CGA-022 right hand brass oxygen). The barb (hose nipple 1/4 ID) is RAD 64003904.

It does not appear that the concentrator the OP is referring to has a DISS outlet. That type of arrangement would not work without one. He could simply use the vinyl tubing and slip it over the barbed end of the outlet he has on the machine.

It would work like a Christmas Tree adaptor, though, for someone wanting to use the clear vinyl tubing or bare ended green welding hose on a machine that had a DISS outlet.
