lol.... do we have talented people or what? Here's hoping we do get to see you both.

Sonje- are you still heading for Rockland Thursday night? I'm planning to come for open torch night... been a while since I've seen you. Crossing my fingers for you for the weekend too.

Kristi- Made your Mom a key & need to make two more beads for earrings to match. Thought I had two but the sizes are off. Maybe with 2 more, I'll hit a match by luck! This is my thank you to your mom for letting me crash.

I am looking forward to this weekend more than I can tell you. I have a few keys to share (door prizes!) and if my shipment of BeadBoxMan display boxes get here by Friday, I am trying to convince myself to donate one. (I am so greedy sometimes! Can't wait for the lot of 20 of them to arrive! 20? Yes, 20. sigh.....)

Looking forward to the weekend like you wouldn't believe.

Thought I was going to make it for open torch night tomorrow (5/21) but have to go to a wake instead. Much rather be torching than saying good bye but Bob's neighbor passed away so we have to pay our respects to Charlie and hug his family.

See you all this weekend.

Default Hi again

Hey everyone.....I'm committed! Oh wait! that didn't sound right!

I have committed myself to attending both days!

If anyone catches this post in time, and they sincerely want to attend, live in or relatively near SE Mass, but they don't care about the drive, I'll consider a carpool...just pm me.

Duane
PS I'm really not THAT strange....I KNOW I'll fit in

Um, er, nope- you really do have to be THAT strange to fit in! lol...

Sonje and I are grabbing a room at The Nav for Friday night. Since I can't make open torch night on Thursday, I feel the need for glass buds so I'm crashing Sonje's hotel reservation and will be there Friday night. Now let's cross our fingers that Sonje can get away from work!

Yep, you look a little pale to me too. Considerate of you to think of your coworkers like that. Now they won't catch anything from you. Wish I had coworkers that considerate.

You have a good story there, Duane. Stick to it! lol

Or the Lighthouse Museum is right up the road. Or the Wyeth Museum is right up the road. Or the lighthouse is just up the road a few miles.... There is lots to do. There are brochures right in the lobby of The Nav.

And the beach is just up the road a bit, as well. Maybe find a piece of sea glass and make a bead to remember your trip to the wild side of Rockland!

Ohhh...last night I made some non-food goodies....I pulled some stringers (silvered ivory and my first attempt at dichro stringers plus some gold aventurine which came out a bit darker than what I wanted but they're nice regardless) I need to do some twisties tonight for anyone who wants some...do you have any color preferences?

I know they'll be glass there, but I have no idea as of right now what else I'll bring

For door prizes, I have 6 packs of keys, ranging from 3-4 keys that I am donating. There is ONE flat key in each package. The rest are old round keys and they're not brass. Stainless steel I believe.

In addition, my BeadBoxMan lot of 20 (count'em- 2 0 !!!) cigar box display boxes arrived today. I've only opened two of them so far. It was my lunch hour afterall but tonight? Tonight, they're mine. I am going to donate ONE (yes, only one cuz I'm a greedy sob) for a door prize-- and yes, it hurts! lol

I can NOT wait for Saturday.

Duane,

There is no requirement, mind you, but if you wanted to do a little bundle of twisties, you could enter them into the door prize drawings. Some of us (cough, cough, Lyn, cough, cough) may be a little twistie challenged....Lyn loves pinks and purples. Kristi loves funky greens. Pipyr is a borobrat so ignore her... (I do not know why my friends put up with me, really I don't! I am horrible.)

Why is time moving so slow today? Hurry up Saturday!

Sue
