Default Glass Veining Technique

Here's a new tutorial I've been working on. (Thanks, Frit Diva, for the reminder to put it here!)

This tutorial shows you how to get a veining effect from just one glass color. And you'll get all the information from my glass testing - what colors work great, what colors just wouldn't cooperate, and what colors work but take a little extra coaxing.

The tutorial is $25 and available in my Etsy shop: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1869118...op_home_feat_4

And check out my blog post for a coupon code of 20% off ($5 value), good through May 5, 2014.

Does it need to be encased to get the effect?

Good question, Caroline. I found that the veining works best with encasing. I tried several colors without clear encasing and wasn't happy with the results.

Zephyr; I rarely use any other clear.

Ah. A girl after my own heart. About the only time I pick up another clear is for a punty.

(Psst. I really want to lighten your picture a little so the veining shows more - I was amazed with the results from Bloody Mary!)

Yes! It's not on Etsy anymore but will be for sale on Lampwork Market soon. In the meantime, you can message me here, through Facebook, or send me an email at roc1828@yahoo.com. Thanks for asking about it!

It's $25, but I could be in a discounting mood.
