Default Free ROSE MURRINI Tutorial - Different ways of applying my rose murrini

Rose Murrini Tutorial by Smiltroy

Hi there and welcome to my rose murrini tutorial, in this tutorial I will show you how I apply my rose murrini that you can buy in my etsy shop: http://www.etsy.com/shop/Smiltroy .
I use 3 different techniques to apply them, depending on what look I want to use, in this tutorial I will show you how to achieve the 3 different looks and give you some example photos of each style.

You can also download a printable tutorial on my website: http://www.smiltroy.org/murrini.html

Melted In Rose Murrini Method

1 – Spot Heat the bead very well in the place where you’re going to put the murrini, while you pre-heat the murrini chip by waving it in the top of the flame.
2 – Place the murrini chip by pushing it into the bead to the point where the top of the murrini is at the same level as the bead surface (Image 1)
3 – Add a good dot of transparent on top of the murrini (Image 2)
4 – Heat the transparent dot and start pushing it down softly, heat/push/heat/push (Image 3)
5 – Continue to push the transparent heating the bead as well so when you do the final push no air is trapped on the sides of the murrini (Image 4 & 5)

Example:

Spread Out Rose Murrini Method

1 – Spot Heat the bead very well in the place where you’re going to put the murrini, while you pre-heat the murrini chip by waving it in the top of the flame.
2 – Place the murrini on the surface of the bead without pushing it very hard (Image 1)
3 – Add a good dot of transparent on top of the murrini (Image 2)
4 – Heat the transparent dot AND the murrini and start pushing it down very softly, (image 3) heat/push/heat/push until it start to look like a mushroom (image 4)
5 – Continue to heat both the murrini and transparent and take a razor or something sharp like that and start to spread out the murrini all the way around, by pulling it very softly away from the center of the transparent dot towards the base of the bead, very carefully to not ruin the design. (Image 5) Make sure you pull the transparent all the way around the murrini so the transparent covers the entire murrini (Image 6)

Example:

Blooming Rose Murrini Method (my favorite =P)

1 – Spot Heat the bead very well in the place where you’re going to put the murrini, while you pre-heat the murrini chip by waving it in the top of the flame.
2 – Place the murrini chip by pushing it into the bead just a little, like half-way (Image 1)
3 – Add a good dot of transparent on top of the murrini (Image 2)
4 – Heat the transparent dot AND the murrini and start pushing it down very softly, (image 3) heat/push/heat/push until it start to look like a mushroom (image 4)
5 – Continue to heat both the murrini and transparent and pushing it until the transparent covers the entire murrini. Leave raised for amazing depth (Image 5)

Great tutorial, thank you! I have some rose murrini and so far I have failed with every one of them. I've never been quite sure how to apply them without making a mess of them. Your illustrations are great!

(If the link doesn't work, edit the s out of your browser. It should be "http" not "https" Sometimes LE put in an S just for the heck of it.)
