I haven't used Triple Passion but I believe that Passion Extreme is a more saturated version. I have been using DAP lately and just started using my Passion Extreme and love it! Seems like I get the pinks and nice purples easier with it than DAP (that just might be me ). In my opinion I think the Passion Extreme would be comparable to DAP.

If you are looking for one that behaves like DAP, why not just buy DAP?

Triple Passion is very similar, but I get a little more blue out of it and more purple out of DAP.

Oh, just b/c I was ordering from somewhere that had GA on sale and I do like to try new colors. I like the level of saturation in DAP for making beads, AP is harder for me to strike when encased.
thx for the input!

If you want something easy to strike, try Purple Luster. Gets nice purples every time. Just strike it to yellow before putting it into the kiln, ramp it up to 1150 before you ramp it down, and you get purple.

I love purple luster, myself. If you are looking for the passionate hot pink color you might try checking out Doug Remschneider's boro beads DVD. He gives recipes for various colors.

As for Triple Passion: I love it!! yummmmm

I usually encase it, so it is Under the clear, but it kind of depends on if you are doing beads or something else with it?
Mixing it in with other colors is nice, also.

On the other hand, the heart in my avi is either AP or DAP over clear, can't remember which...

You can try putting it over white to lighten it up too. There is a tutorial in the boro newbie thread for a white base, stripe of a golden yellow opaque (goldenrod?), DAP over the yellow then encase in clear.

When I first started playing with boro DAP was the bane of my existence! Doug's video is a great starting point and SmartFlix is awesome.
