Reduction considerations...
Okay, so I made a bead that even "I" thought was lovely with the silver cinnamon, decorated and twirled with a twisty of Gaia and Kronos. After annealing suffice it to say it's very "unpretty". Blast it all, I "did" like a bead I had made with brown, my LEAST favorite color in the world, and now it looks like poop.
When firing a gas kiln for raku, you can purposefully set up the kiln to have a reduction atmosphere to get your glazes to "pop". If one were to purposefully half strike these uber cool silver glasses, to colors "not quite" what they wanted, could the kiln atmosphere be used to strike them? Is that even possible with an electric kiln?
