Hi Robert -- can you give some guidance on what medium to large size means?

Thanks!

Large is over 1.5-1.75 inches, medium is 1-1.25 inches. We really need some big beads right now.

Thanks much,
Robert

I sent my 1st BOC before Christmas and just last week received the donation receipt, I really thought my beads never made it to them. Since it all went well I'm signed to "Show the Love" for this go around and have a nice pile of large beads to pick from to send. Not sure why but I picked out all the silver glass beads not to send. Here is a start, but I'll find time to do a few more 'character' type beads.

That looks like a great pile of beads. Sometimes our receptions process takes a while as our volunteers get backed up, especially after the holidays. They do get there, though. Thanks for your patience and for all you do for Beads of Courage.

I signed up. I am not used to really big beads, so this will be a fun thing to do. I think BOC is terrific and I am excited to be a part of it. I have six so far and will be working on more to meet the deadline.

Default It is a start

Here are some that I have finished... 12!, 18 to go. I am really having fun with them. Thank you to all who put the tutorials out there for the BOC beads, it gave me a starting point. One little guy in there, took me a couple of tries to get them big enough.

Thanks Eileen.. lol One of the puppies bit me.. (the burn I was talking about).

Had fun with them, now off to search for more examples to make. I may do some more of the little turtles. A few people in the shop saw them when I was taking the pictures and they loved them. So I hope the kids do..

Quick question. I've looked on the BOC site and didn't find the answer. Will they accept hollow beads made with a puffy mandrel? I've got some that are pretty sturdy, with fairly thick walls. Just wondering. Thanks

Thanks, Patty. Hope the kids like them. I also did 10 Angry Birds, but they don't stand up very well for photographing.

Francesca, I love the bears!

Chuck, look at some of the older threads and there are some wonderful beads people have posted. I check them out for something to aim at, though I'm not there yet.

Wow! Great BOC Beads!
Chuck-what a great assortment of bead styles and colors! I love the big purple one! Yum!
Cherri-I love the dog and mouse beads. I have 3 big dogs and want to make them in glass.
Eileen-Wow! What a great haul for BOC. The angry bird is making me laugh! He's perfect!
Francesca- the panda beads are too cute! Love the polar bears too!
Cate-Your smiley beads are making me giggle! I wish I knew what character from my childhood they remind me of because they are taking me way back in time! A great feeling!

Although I couldn't commit to 30 beads this month I have started my very first batch to send out! This is a wonderful program that touches my heart!

Great fun looking at all your bead pictures for BOC. It is always amazing for me to see the wide variety of styles and designs that are made from essentially the same material. Good job everyone!

I sent mine off in the mail today, no pics. But I'm happy I was actually able to complete the challenge. We leave on a trip tomorrow morning and I thought I wasn't going to have enough time to mail them in.

I see your cute smiley beads in post #24 of this thread. Maybe it was a momentary glitch?

Thanks for checking Eileen..I have no idea what is going on. I turned off my iPad and rebooted everything. I just checked and I am still seeing Cherri's photo instead of mine and who knows where the blue bead and kitten photo came from. I don't have any of those photos. I sent an email to Cherri and the moderator to see what can be done.
