Salt& Pepper Shaker caps
Hi
Not sure where to post this question so here it goes
Is there any interest for purchasing the caps for salt and pepper shakers?
Just asking because I can get them and would like to make some for myself, but I need to buy alot of them.
Any comments would be appreciated!
Thanks!!

I think the problem is that then you need the threaded pieces that they'd fit on, no?

Just wanted to post a picture if the caps. I Put the same question out there on GLDG to see what kind of interest there would be in this.
As I said in the other thread, I have a standing order for these caps. It is for more that I will ever need or even want to make for that matter. I'm not looking to put together kits or anything like that, just looking to see if I'd be able get rid of some of these. I do know that it is a custom thing and you can't really buy them anywhere.
I'd appreciate any feedback!

I'd take some, but not enough to make a difference. Hey, I think you're onto something. I bet they'd do well at shows if the price was right. I don't do shows but I'd like some on MY table.

Are you selling just the caps or the caps and the threaded tubing?

I'm definitely interested (depending on price, of course! haha) -- but like others would like to buy the threaded tubing as well.
LMK, thanks!

The threaded tubing you could buy at VM Glass..vineland,NJ.There are other Scientific supply places that carry them as well. Thats where I got mine. The size is called GL_13
... Would be selling just the caps..........
Menty...Do you know what size those caps are? They look a little large and you would have to find a thread to fit...which maybe they make?

I'd be interested if the price is right.

Can't say that I do, but the smaller ones looked to be about the same size.

The price would be $1.00 each or $2.00 per pair.

I'm ninterested too, but how much is the tubing? And do you have to order in quantities? Also, if I like them, could I order more in the future? How easily can they be replaced?

Hi Christina
The tubes are not terrible expensive.
VM Glass in Vineland sells them and from reading on GLDG ( same question posted over there too1) UST sells them as well.
I'm not the expert on this but I'm becomming one ( I think). There is also a question on how to hold the thread and you will need a machined tool or a ground glass joint with graphite paper.
Who knows.............if I get enough interest ( w/ the caps) then perhaps someone else will step up and widely offer tools for these things.
Also, you can order as many or few that you need
