Another thing to take note of is that the tank in the video was an aluminum tank. That had a lot to do with why it oxidized so violently.
The biggest thing to look out for with an oxygen tank in your lampworking studio is that the valve does not get damaged. This is why you have to be careful when transporting a tank (always have the cap on) and why you should keep it chained to a wall so that it does not fall over and knock the valve off. I have seen welders drive around with their regulators on the tank in the back of their pick-up. Never, ever, do this.
