Default bear face tutorial

I have a friend whose daughter goes to college where a bear is the mascot. Does anyone have a tutorial on how to make a bear face?

What kind of bear, darlin'? Brown bear, Polar Bear...? I found this tutorial on YouTube - it's a Polar Bear, but you might be able to "change it up" with a different color, etc. Check it out:

Good luck! Let us know (and see!) what you come up with!

OH MY GOODNESS - how cute and fun is that? Thanks for searching for me - I was looking for a brown bear -but I'm sure I could incorporate this SOMEHOW.

Hi Sandra!

Isn't that a cute tut...I think it has just enough to get you started! I know it's not a "head", but the whole-body bear doesn't look too huge to be a pendant or a key/cell phone fob - I hope, if you have a chance, you share your results!

Hello Sandra
Here is a butterfly tutorial I did a while back......You can use the same tut to make a Bear (The Mascot at the school I worked at is a bear, so I've made a lot of them) The only differance is where you cut the disk. You will cut it in three places one is between the legs, the next is under the chin for the head and the last is for the little tail just pull and shape untill you get a pleasing bear shape (side view) add a couple of dots for the ears and flatten them, dots for the nose and eyes...don't for get the loop and tada one fine bear. Sorry I don't have a picture on my lap top.
They are great for pendants, keyrings, and cell phone charms.

Nah, he's just sitting on his haunches and it's tucked under. Beautiful bears!

i don't have a tut, but i have made grizzlie bear cheerleader beads and football players for my kids' high school.

i just shaped them by adding glass, using tools etc. i would think that any sculpted bead tutorial would give ya loads of help on fitting the concept to work with a bear. good luck!!

I never really wrote a how-to on these, but if they are anything helpful to you at all, I would happily write something up for you, tutorial-wise. I know the body is nothing to write home about, but I think the face is pretty cute. Then again maybe cute isn't what you are going for...is it more of a ferocious bear? LOL

Conny:

Those are darling!!! Your picture really gives it that "frosty" Polar Bear look, too! Thanks for sharing! (And, by the way, your English is just fine! Remember, pictures can speak a 1000 words - in any language!)
