Default Can I make a press from bronze clay?

Has anyone tried this? I am thinking of something like the Devardi tong presses, I want to make some bamboo sections. I have the bamboo and the metal clay but not sure if bronze is a substitute for brass. The bronze clay is 89% copper and 11% tin whereas brass is copper + zinc. Maybe I could use copper clay?
Would like to hear others thoughts. Cheers, Fi

Yes, a friend here in my area does this. She makes a push mold/press by using a texture stamp to make the impression prior to firing the clay. Not sure about making a tong press though....
