Default About Didy's

Okay I went out and spent 50$ on a pair today after squinting to see what I was doing. So are they only for the yellow blocking or do they really protect your eyeballs? I kindof like my eyeballs. No really, can it really cause serious problems if you dont use them? Thanks

The only thing didymium does is block the yellow sodium flare. This flare is not hazardous to your vision, but it is annoying and difficult to see through. What protects your eyeballs is having spectacles on to protect your eyes from flying glass.

There are no visual hazards from working soft glass with a bench torch.
