Default WordPress - WOW!!

Wow. I just switched my site to be a WordPress site yesterday and I have to say i REALLY love using WordPress to create my site! I've only gotten a couple of pages done, and I'll be adding more as time goes by - what a dream it is to use WordPress to make the site.

For anyone who is interested, check this out:
http://www.angelasdiner.com
http://www.wpvqs.com ( I bought the book too, well worth it!)
http://www.wordpress.com and www.wordpress.org

I'm blogging now, and wanted the blog to be my landing page.

Next on the list of "to do's" is using the WP shopping cart and getting some sales from my site. I also want to use Etsy a bit more, and drive traffic from the gallery that I belong to ( I get a bunch of hits from there, it's great, and I'm also the webmaster for them - http://www.westerlyarts.com )

Once up and running, WordPress is really easy to work with, even for "non-techies" so I'd give my hearty recommendation. I so wish I had done this sooner!

Your shopping section is lovely - and I've blown a good deal of my day trying to figure out WHY I can't get pictures to upload and display correctly in wp-ecommerce....

i'm taking a mySQL class in a couple weeks, and I've been meaning to get better understanding and using/writing php, so here's a challenge for me, eh?

I'm REALLY REALLY wanting this to work soon as I have a couple of things pending that I know will drive hits to my site.... now if my KIDS would only get off the computer! LOL

does wp-ecommerce have inventory control? I was amazed to find out how many ecommerce app writers don't think that's important! if it does, what an awesome plugin!

You can tell wp-ecommerce how many of an item you have - so I have set everything to "1"

That seems like inventory control to me!

I think I'll just end up "splurging" on the upgrade - the folks who wrote it are from New Zealand and they are only charging $15 to upgrade to a gold version...so I think I can justify that !! That's just a week's worth of Lattes!!

lol,
Angela

I'm leary of assuming anything has real inventory control after I spent a month configuring drupal ecommerce then found out it would let people buy out of stock items. the first thing I did when testing other solutions after that was make a test purchase to see what happened!

$15 is a steal. sounds like a really good setup and I'd love to hear your thoughts on it once it's going full force.

your site looks fab, by the way!
