Best white for stringers?
Which white glass would be good for making fine lines and ornaments, particulary i'm going to use it on black beads. Actually, the colour is not the main question, it would be even better, if that white would be not very bright and glaring. The one that i have now, Ornela glass white, has a blurred edges, where it meets black. Maybe there is such white glass, which does not behave so?

You might want to encase the white with some clear first, then pull it.

Aye, encasing was going to be my first suggestion as well.
As for less intensity in the whiteness I think you are going to have to go with encased ivories and start researching the grays.
You might find what you are looking for my mixing you own in quarter inch test batches and then encasing the more promising results.

I have also found that it is easier to use black stringer over white. The colors are easier to keep sharp that way, as long as you have a good black. I like Tuxedo for all but the very thin stringer. I use R deep black for that. Almost any white will work, then, as long as it is not heated too much.
