Thank you Lone!! It is really fun to do and I like that it was so easy to do it on a cab mandrel with your same directions!! Awesome!!

Thanks Lone!! It's a great tutorial. I tried them and was amazed that I was semi-successful on the first one. I couldn't get a nice neat top to mine so I had to embellish it.
Mine is too large for a ring, even though I thought I started small.

Very pretty, Susan. Nice crisp colours. You did a great job
IMHO it can´t be too big for a ring (unless it´ll have you drag your hand behind you on the floor )

Hi Lone,
Following the better-late-than-never rule, I want to thank you so much for a wonderful tutorial! Very well done and easy to follow... I can't wait to try it out. I think it will assist in many of the things I have been trying to work out...

Thanks Sue!! I always use topical designs to cover up messes.
Thanks again Lone. I never would have figured it out on my own. I'd have to make a two fingered ring to fit the cab I made!!

Im actually just going to make a long fat bead, and smash it. and it comes out a oval cab, and im going to bezel set it in my next metal smithing class. Sorry, what I meant to say is that is how I have made my other cabs, other than my fused glass ones.

Lone, thank you so much for this tutorial. A group of us got together for the weekend and had the best time trying it out.
We tried this technique on the end of a mandrel with bead release on it and it worked quite well that way too!

I´m so glad you are enjoying yourself with this. I just love when people use a given technique and give it a twist.
Please let´s see what you have all made .

This really is a great tut, thanks for posting it, Lone! I've made several using this technique and been really happy with the outcome. For anyone who is looking to make calibrated cabs, or is more comfortable working on mandrel, you can also check this out:

Whichever method you use, have fun with it ~ cabs are such a blast to make!

Thank you so much for the great tutorial. I worked with it yesterday and had some success. Still working towards perfection though. These were a blast to make. Thank you again.

It looks like Lone Rindkaer's site is gone. Does anyone have the PDF handy? I could repost it on my server.

I tried the link on the Wayback Machine but nothing appeared. Is there anyway to repost this? I'd love to see the tutorial.
