Default Anice white effect colors

I finally identified the two plus pounds of shocky rough white glass as Anice white. I've heard that it has interesting effects; does it do the same with pretty much any color, or does it react differently with some?

I experimented with transparent and pastel turquoise, and could see rings and lines in the white. does it do more?
thanks,
Lee

My take on anise white - I stick it in the flame, collect up the little bits that shock off, and use them like murrini.

A basic easy technique: Make a base bead using one or some of the following - malachite green, malachite blue, opaque dark turquoise, dark ivory, EDP, lapis or petroleum green - basically anything reactive, so there are probably others that will work, too. Heat a spot on the bead, push in a little chunk of anise white, push it down with your brass marver, repeat as desired. Now take a hairfine intense black stringer and randomly wind that around your bead. Heat the snot out of it, shape and anneal - makes a super pretty organic.

Preheat the rods if you want to melt them for stringer, which also has some interesting uses - they won't be to shocky to use if they are preheated in your kiln.
