Default Popcorn bead tutorial?

Does anyone remember a woman last year or 2 years ago who made these awesome looking popcorn beads? She was asking about if there was an interest in a tutorial. Not sure if it ever came to fruition.

I can't find it or the post by the search method. But they were so neat looking. I was thinking how fun they would be to have for the holidays. I can food around and make up something, but I thought if there was a tutorial I'd give her the business!

There are popcorn in a Corrina T booklet I got from Beckah... "for the Inner Child" I think is the title but it's in my shop out back & all locked up right now. If you need her name, I can get it tomorrow afternoon (art show with sister & friends will take up much of the day)

Hi Merilee! Talk about a Freudian slip ~ please remember to not eat the beads, no matter how yummy they may look! Hope you find what you're looking for...

Maybe Mallory (Rosebud ) is who you are looking for or at least can give you some tips? She made this adorable Popcorn bead set for the Glass Food Exchange (http://www.lampworketc.com/forums/sh...+bead+exchange) a while back (pic removed until Mallory gives the OK!) I hope she will come in and advise us further...

Thanks, Rosebud's beads are great!
I just found out it is Desa of Gothic Glass who made the beads I was looking for. I don't dare to try to copy and post without permission. But if anyone finds a previous link here that has that convo maybe that's okay (still can't find it). Being obsessive, I google her and found a photo of her beads.
Maybe she'll come on some time. I can''t even find her name above,to PM her, in the members list.
But really I am just happy to have found the answer to the mystery.

Merigypsy,
I happen to have contacted Mallroy (Rosebud's Beads). She shared with me her BLOG's name- "For the Love of Beads"- and has given me the "go" to let eveyone know that in about 2 or 3 weeks she will be posting a free Popcorn Tutorial in her Blog.

Mallory also added, that in her BLOG today, she has posted a free Skull Tutorial.

Enjoy looking!

Make a round spacer size bead with either white or pale ivory, add 4 globs around the top, heat each dot and using flat tweezers smush them and give a slight twist in any direction, then flame polish each dot and add a small dot of amber for the kernel. I dab on clear nail polish on the amber dots and etch the entire bead. Easy Peasy Popcorn

Wow Merilee - those are AMAZING! They do indeed look entirely REAL! Thanks for offering the link!

I'm thinking there's possibly some "Banana Cream" or similar color mixed in there with the White to give the "buttered" effect...

You can sprinkle them with yellow enamel to give the buttered look

Actually, the popcorn was made as a commission for Bead Style magazine. I had a lot of fun making them, but they aren't something that I want to do over and over...I am a little too ADD for that

I would not mind making a tutorial for the popcorn beads that I made for the magazine. It will be available around the Holidays, and I am not planning to sell it for much. I think I am going to offer it as a contribution to the AGLF - for those of you that don't know, I find myself involved in that mess somehow.

Please let me know if there is still interest in the tutorial. I actually have a few little hints that the free tutorial does not include....
