Transparent Red Glass
Hello out there! I have been trying to find a nice light red transparent glass. I have ordered several striking colors that end up so dark that you can't really see the design no matter how I work it in the flame. I would like to find a nice light ruby colored transparent. I know they make it because I have seen it in some Troll beads.
I have used white and yellow under the red, but this still does not produce a nice light red glass.
HELP!

Rubino Oro is what I would call a ruby transparent. CiM Sangre is a true red transparent although I would not call it light ruby. CiM Light Cranberry would be a light ruby to me, but you might call it more deep pink than red. Lauscha makes some nice transparent reds too.

Rubino Oro, definitely. Over a white core and encased in clear. Beautiful ruby pink.

Vote #2 for Reichenbach Strawberry. What are you trying to do with it? Perhaps casing clear with it will thin it out, but not change the color enough to give the effect you're going for.

i layer Moretti striking red transparent between clear. it gives a lovely bright ruby red - almost fuschia under certain lights.
