Default Bunny Ears

I'm pretty new to lampworking, but I really enjoy trying to make sculptural beads. This week I challenged myself to bunnies, and discovered that the ears are crazy hard to make! I'd love any advice on how to make ears that are flat and pointed - mine turned out either conical or flat and rounded!
Thanks for the help!

Pull them to length then flatten with mashers or nonserrated pliers

I pull mine with needle nose pliers and then melt a little and nudge the glass to a point with my maver.

Thankyou, i'm going to try again tonight, and I'll bring some pliers to see if that works any better.
