Sculptural Lampworking in Softglass with Serena
During this two day sculptural class we will use COE90 glass rods and focus on skills like controlling heat, recognizing the different types of heat in the glass and becoming comfortable with the hands on aspect of sculpture.
Techniques include puntying, making parts and construction. Students will learn to draw out their projects and use them to develop their glass pieces.
We will be working on and off the mandrel to make beads or small sculptures that can stand alone or be incorporated into cast or fused projects.
Prerequisite: Intro to Torching or equivalent.
Materials: All materials used in class will be provided
