Default Agitating -- Vetrofond Light Ivory

Just thought I'd kick the sleeping dog. Still hoping that Vetrofond will make a boatload of Light Ivory and Michael will bring it home.

Any progress?

Thanks,

Nolly

Sadly the (fairly) recent news is that Vetrofond has no plans to make more lampworking cane.

That's too bad about Vetrofond. I was really starting to like Vetrofond colors over Effetre.

After searching the galaxy I found some Vetrofond Light Ivory. Actually there is about 90 pounds of 5-6mm and 20 pounds of 8-9mm. It is on a slow tramp steamer and is probably taking the long slow route.

I use Bullseye, too, and Nougat is a pretty good substitute. I'll keep an eye on how the pricing works on Light Ivory, but I'm ready to face the fact that it's not being made anymore. Facing and happy are not the same!

I'll have to put my faith in CIM coming up with something close for my 104 work.

Come on, beadmakers, write to Kathy Seamands using this color request form:

Mike, I'll be stalking you! lol

I recently posted in the tips section looking for a substitution for the Vet. Lt. Ivory. I really didnt get much out of it.

Nolly. . . . I have Bullseye stashed away. Maybe its time to revisit it.

Default The Vetrofond Ivory That Wasn't

The excitement of some vintage Vetrofond Ivory will not be. Got the shipment, but the Ivory turned out to be not what I expected. BUMMER!!!!

What did it turn out to be? A different color/ shade/ hue of Ivory? Because that might just be the next Yellow Ice or River Rock, you know?

Or it could be E.L.O., more aptly named by 3Muses "W.T.F."

Angelique, come on, give. What do you do with it? I can't get it to stay the same color twice.

That's a bummer about the light ivory Mike.

Disappointing! The Italians just don't love us like they used to. Any hope of getting those bigger canes that they are making for chandeliers?

Thanks for trying, Mike.
