Default encasing CIM with Vetro clear?

In general, and for fairly small disc beads, is it generally to encase CIM colors like crocus, halong bay and other translucent with Vetro or Effetre clear. Seems like a different type of glass in appearance, but I can't remember seeing a discussion of cracking problems.

Thanks in advance

Somewhere on LE there is a thread about some of the CIM blues cracking unless annealed at 1040 F. Halong Bay was one of them.

Encasing it, I don't know about that.

I have trouble encasing some of the CIM opaques. No matter how hot they are going into the kiln - they crack with whatever clear I use I guess I have to consider turning up my kiln, but then, I'll burn out the silver glass beads.
