Default ***April*** S&T

Since it is almost April here in Europe I am going to start the new month.
I posted this also in the Marble section but would like to share it also here with you guys.

Last night I tried some new techniques and here is the result of it...

I call this boro marble Flaming Vortex and it is 49mm (1.93″) in diameter.
It’s hard to capture the real deep 3D look of the inside in a photo, you need to look at it in different angles.

Cheers

Nope - I save that for the 3"+ ones..... .... up to 2" the middle Phantom ring is more than enough.
Nice colors on the Alien tech pendant.

@Miriam: I'm not a great fan of pink - but those colors turned out awesome.

Cheers

Well that's good to know, maybe just a Phantom torch would do for my next torch...

And thanks, I'm loving Alien Tech! Next I want to make a marble with a 'squiggle' of it through the middle like in that pendant, just filling out the rest with clear...

Default Beautiful beads

Have you ever talked with Nancy Tobey? Pink, Maroon, Magenta colors out of boro is one of her passions. If you haven't touched base with her or taken any of her classes, you would enjoy it.
She tried her darndest to teach me dots, but nothing like your wonderful bubbles and dots!

Sue

I thin I met Nancy at the Gathering last year. I took a year of boro classes once a month with a scientific lampworker and I learned about colors from Gail Crosman moore when she was teaching in my studio. And I like to try and see for myself what happens. That is the best way to learn IMO.

Miriam, the pinks are a beautiful color. Would you mind
telling us what color boro you used? I have been trying
lots of different brands to find a simular shade of pink.

Wow! April is off to a great start! I'm loving all of the marbles, beads, and pendants!

Fairytale Beads - I LOVE this marble. If it would like to travel, I am more than willing to give it a home in Pennsylvania, US! I would even take it to a Phillies game and buy it a Gino's cheesesteak!

Rodger- Nice job with the Alien Tech! I really have to get my hands on some and play.

Miriam - Gorgeous pinks!!!! I especially love the clear one with pink dots.

Sonja - Wow! You made a very successful transisition into Boro! Your beads are perfect!

Paula - Great marbles and heart! Boro is fun, isn't it?!

Default Wow beautiful

I have done a dozen or so pendants using the bubbles, but I just can't quite see placing the color dots on top of the holes made from the "frog" I have developed a technique I call, bubbles for old people to compensate. But would be very interested if you have any tips or tricks on adding the color dots on top of the holes.
Here is a picture of my modified sytle

Those are very beautiful.....I am in awe
