Just ordered one. Geez, I've stayed away from the wire bug this long and now I'm ordering a tutorial. It's all your fault Jewlie!!!

I used a mix of copper and silver. You could use all silver if you wish. If you chose to ball up the ends of the swirl, you would need to use .999 fine silver for that one piece. I would recomend sterling silver for the actual heart fibula frame because fine silver would be too soft.

Hey Jewlie - do you explain how to harden or work the wire so it has a lot of spring in the business end? The ones I made from that book look fine, but there isn't a lot of HOLD in the clasp - know what I mean?

Yes! I use a chasing hammer to harden it as I go. I have my first fibula that I made and there isn't alot of hold in it either. There seems to be alot more hold with this one.

Or hammer with a rawhide hammer on a rubber surface. Work harden without changing the shape (much...)
