Ramp up rate with glass in kiln?
Can anyone tell me how fast I can ramp with boro in the kiln? I made a few icicles today, and even though they are wonky I would like to anneal them and make a few more to go in the kiln at the same time.
The fattest one is about the size of my index finger (1/2"?) or a little larger, the other more like a fat 1/4" , and both about 5-7" long I think. I left them outside, so can't give an accurate measurement right now.

I ramp up full speed and had no problems. Boro can take it.

Yes, ramp it up! That's why I love boro, well just one reason.
I call it "from the freezer to the flame" glass. My studio gets so
cold during the winter, the glass feels so cold in my hands when
I put it in the flame I am always surprised that it doesn't shock and blow up.

OD .3 inches - 298 F per minute
.5 inches - 107 F per minute
1 inch - 27 F per minute
2 inches - 6.7 F per minute
