Great tutorial Amy. I'm not currently able to torch and haven't bought a tutorial in.... years? *laugh* (I can't actually remember buying one!?) But, yours caught my eye and I had to have it. Wonderful and clear information for when I can torch again.

Currently... torch is cold. Not sure when I'll be making glass again. Hothead and Lynx user.

Amy-
After a number of months and many tries, I was finally able to get some ok looking "Storm" beads!
These aren't great, but the best of what I've made so far-and worlds better than the first ones.
Thanks again for the great tutorial...perfectly done.

Thanks Sonja! I hope it was worth the wait.

Lori, those are fabulous storms! I love the bottom two the most. The cream storm over the amber background is really dramatic and the green is a great color with pretty storming!

Thanks Amy! Now that I have a little bit of a clue, these are so much fun to make!
The little black one is my favorite one so far I think.
Thanks again for such a clear tut!

Thread hog! Thread hog! Sorry, but the last handful of beads that I cleaned had some gorgeous ones, so I have to show them off.

Really pretty Betsy! It can be such a fine line between a great storm that shows the background color and one that takes over. You have the perfect balance in those dots.

So many people are getting such great results with this wonderful tutorial. I just tried it once before I moved and forgot about it when I got set up again. Now I want to try it again.

Thanks Kevan. I remember seeing a really pretty bead of yours in the S & T.

Laurie, I am working on a new tutorial. It's going to be called "Webbing Techniques - A Comprehensive Guide". Since doing the storm tutorial I've been developing other webbing techniques and having a ton of fun. Now I'm getting all scientific about it and I'm testing every Double Helix glass color and putting each one through every one of my webbing techniques. Soon everyone will know my secrets on how to get beads like these.

I'm hoping to have it done in January but it may be sooner, depending on how much testing time I get at the torch each week.

Thanks everyone! I'm glad there is some interest in it. I have a ton of testing to do but the good news is that I just won't be giving you a tutorial on how to do each webbing technique. It will be a guide showing you each glass color and which techniques work with it and many sample beads to show you what you can expect to get.

Very excited about this. Your tutorial has been my favorite of ones I've purchased. I love the webbing technique when I can get it, but I still have a little trouble with it smetimes. Can't wait to see this tut

I have about four or five webbing techniques now and the standard one in the storm tutorial is the one I use the least. It will be included though and I'll give tips on each glass color to get the best outcome so hopefully it will help you but I think you'll like the other webbing techniques better.

I completely agree, Betsy. The storm tutorial has paid for it self 100 times over. Can't wait to see the new recipes Amy. Webbing is my favorite.

No, I won't do that for a couple of reasons. First, I never feel comfortable taking anyone's money without having a product for them that's ready. Second, I like to keep my pricing the same so no discounts in the beginning and no sales for Groundhogs day or May day.

Here's one from the torch - both sides
