Purple stringer/ribbon too pale
When pulling a purple stringer or ribbon, no matter how dark a purple I start with, it ends up a mild lavender or pink tone. Is there maybe a black that has a purple base instead of blue that I should try? I'm using 104 coe glass. Pictured below is an example of what I'm talking about. Made a paddle of some super dark purple, made a line of yellow around it, blobbed clear on either side to round it out then made a twisty ribbon from it.

Effetre black used to have a purple base but I don't know if it does anymore.

How about enameled stringer? And Effetre black is a very dark purple transparent.

Maybe put some transparent purple over a white base? And yes, Effetre black is dark purple. Cynthia... Tilker? showed some beads where she had used a stringer of black over a white core to make grapes, etc and they came out really dark purple.
