I hold the kiln at 980 while I'm working, be it 104 or BE. First, I have a ChiliPepper kiln and I find that opening the door to put the bead in let's out a fair amount of heat. Second, I can anneal both 104 and BE without any problems this way. I will have to check my schedule and get back to you. I set it a while back, so I can't remember it exactly.
