Audra those are too cute! Great work!
With the pinks-you are probably over heating or over working them. Pinks are really sensitive!

Just a heads up. If you are ordering this color
D30-Transparent Granny Smith Green. 6-10mm thick, 8-12" Rods

Its coming up on my invoice as transparent dk seaweed green. I sent Natasha an email but watch your order and if it comes up as seaweed, make sure she knows what you really want.

Got my order in !!! YAY... Now, I'll be stalking the mailman till it gets here. LOL How do y'all store/sort your glass rods. Do you store by color, color number or what? As you can tell, organization is not really my strong suit. Right now, I have them lumped in VERY large categories, i.e. all the pinks in one jar, all the purples in another, etc. Of course you can see what trouble that might cause when one wants to duplicate a particular bead and one was stupid enough not to note which colors one used. DUH !! Thanks !!!

I label every single rod. I sort by color and store them in pvc pipes cut to about 12"-14". They are arranged by color family (yellow, greens, purples etc) I need to buy another set of shelving. I have two of the large plastic shelves that have like 4 tiers. The pvc pipes are stacked in rows of three or four and right now, the two shelves of Devardi are actually starting to bend a bit so I need to move the boro off the bottom shelf to a new shelf and spread the Devardi out a bit. I also need a new shelf as I am starting to get a more of a collection of the the other 104 glasses, so I need a shelf for them so I can sort by brand, which means I need ANOTHER shelf for all the odds and ends and tools. Sheesh!

I use the PVC pipe too - it's cut on an angle and silicone glued to the one under it. I think it's the 2 or 2-1/2" pipe...

I divide mine by glass type - Transparent, SOP, Opaque and Stringers. I can see I need to label the tubes and I am finding I need a second tube for shorts beside the one that holds the rods or stingers. I use a Sharpie to write the name or no. on the end of each rod. Some colors look SO alike. If the rods are to dark I use a silver Sharpie or Masking Tape on the end to add the ID number. I never used to to do this, but now that I am tracking how glass works in the flame and together it's a must.

...on another subject, I played at making long Pandora or Big Hole Beads last night. I don't see many of them but they seem neat... Would any of you like a BHB Challenge like the Newbies and Intermediates? Want to make a BHB or a tube BHB and post it by the end of May using Devardi glass? I can post a simple Tutorial if anyone is interested in one.

Cutting them at an angle is a great idea! I will have to do that when I finish cutting up the ones in the garage lol. I am always up for a challenge but could we make it like a month? April is always really busy around here and this year my daughter has to get her ducks in a row for post secondary in the fall.

Two comments on the new Devardi shipment...

Wah... still no restock of Frog Green!?!
and wahhhh... I wish they'd make note of the New colors somehow. I can tell a few, but am unsure about others.

Default Devardi BIG HOLE BEAD challenge...

Okay then, let's have a BHB Challenge using only Devardi Glass, and you have until the end of May to make them and post pictures. Everyone can choose which is their final choice for the Challenge and I will assemble everyone's pics the last day in May (if a number of us play and post pics).

If you don't have a Big Hole Mandrel, use the mandrel you have to make a special bead for the Challenge. Fun, fun fun!

I was groaning when I saw no 123 Frog Green or SOP White... I guess that's why they say Patience is a virtue (and I need more of it!). The SOP Moonstone or Misty turns a soft opaque white for me on this Hothead, so I'm okay for now. I checked ABR and they don't have either color, but they do have the Opaque White and the Moonstone. Hopefully on the next shipment all our dreams will come true!

Yes I was very sorry to not see the frog green.

I am getting a little concerned, I emailed Natasha with my order so she could invoice me through google (paypal won't let me use my debit card) since I don't keep that much in my paypal account. That was last night, usually she is very quick in sending me the invoice. I know she must be super busy but I am not sure if she got my order or not.

Please feel free to copy the PVC set up... there are Threads on LE with many different ideas on glass storage too by the way.

I will work on a Tut for the BHB Tubes next. You can use the info to make a simple BHB of normal size too. It's always the edges that are the challenge. I have found if I wrap the left side and then wrap the right side and THEN fill in the middle I stand a better chance of getting an even-sided BHB.

I'll post it in the Free Tutorial section and tell everyone when I get it done.

Oh, I sure can imagine it would be frustrating Sonja... especially when you are waiting. I have found her to be such a super conscientious person that I bet she will get to you as soon as she can.

I'm impatient too, but then when I think of moving my entire house AND a business AND unloading and processing a huge inventory AND updating a website AND continuing to fill orders and provide customer service, WHILE still being a wife (aka laundry, meals, etc)... I think I would be ready to jump in a blender and feel better! Yikes. Wish we could go enmasse and help them!
