Miniature Blown Soft Glass Vessels

Tink Martin and John Cramer
$450 + 25 material fee
April 25 - 27; Friday - Sunday
10am - 5pm

All Levels

Students will use hollow stainless tubing and soft glass to make
incredible miniature vessels, ranging in size from 1” to 3”. The use
of blowpipes for creating shards will also be covered. Day one
and day two focus on blowing skills and technique. Day three
can either cover surface techniques/treatments and specialized
skills that are applicable to a broad range of glass applications, or
it can cover electroforming.

• Choosing glass for blowing
• Blowpipe essentials/Making your own blowpipes
• Appealing vessel design
• Tips for successful construction
• Blowing vessels on any torch ---Specific tips for every make of torch
• Perfect handles, EVERY time
• Encased vessel forms
• Plunged florals on hollow forms
• Xtreme Vessels!
• Blowing shards and ornaments
• Surface treatments and various broad range textural/color applications
