Default boro super sucker ventilation fan

I have replaced my existing 5 inch fan/piping with 10 inch piping and a larger fan motor aprox 800 cfm.....great air exchange...

I see some problems with installation if duct goes to hood or barley box.

If outlet (exhaust) of fan is through wall and duct leads to hood or barley box over torch, be aware that open side of blower where motor is will suck room air and vastly decrease efficiency (suction) on duct side (to hood) of blower....

This type of blower (with two open ends) needs to be completely enclosed in some sort of box (metal) and the duct to fume hood needs to be connected to box.....
