Default Help - Problem with Chili Pepper

I tried out my new chili pepper today and am having issues! 2 hours into my torching session, the tCr error code came on. Aaarrrrgggghhhhh! I have some really nice beads in the kiln so I restart the program. I watch it not hold the temperature at 968. It just continuously drops. I checked it about 20 minutes later and I have a Fatal Error 5 now. So now what do I do! I just bought the darn thing on Monday! If it has this many issues, do I want to keep this same kiln and hopefully they send me replacement parts???!!! Guess I can kiss those beads goodbye!

Sounds like the same problem I am having with my Bluebird.

Apparently, the control board is faulty, so they sent me a new one to install this week. I just installed it last night, but did not have time to fire it up until this weekend.

Contact the manufacturer and tell them what happened. Make sure you have all the numbers off your kiln.

If none of the beads have cracked, can't you batch anneal them?

I wish - I don't think I should batch anneal. When I make my horse beads they have to go into the kiln directly. If I just fiberblanket them, they crack. Ask me how I know..... So, I don't know if they are sellable.

Off to find the numbers on the kiln.....

Thanks

Are you running it on a dedicated circuit or with other things that are drawing power away from it?
Is it the Orton controller?
I'd call Jen-Ken right away.
