I started working on all my goofs a while back. I melt them down, swirl all the colors together and pull them out into a rod of about 4 to 5 mm. I started making a glass chain. It's about 60 feet long so far......41 years of goofs.

Failure? No such thing ... it's all a learning experience. Not to learn from the experience, now that would be failure.
Having said that, I have most of my learning experiences at my mother's place. I get to look at them when I'm up there and sometimes think of new (or old) ideas. It's good to keep stuff where you can visit it!

no boro failures
In the back blocks of Murano, where the residents live, away from the shops, a lot of the well tended little gardens have beads and other glassy bits decorating the borders, hanging from trees, swinging on mobiles or filling up tops of potplants, adding a delightful touch of bright colour.

I havnt been at the torch as long as some of you have so I havnt developed a bit of patience yet. If something turns out to be a bit of rubbish I usually take out my frustrations on it by chucking it forcibly into a bin and hoping its ceases to exist. In the future however I hope to repurpose in some neat way that others have suggested.

For all the future fortune hunters, Peter Pans, Big Bad Wolves, and Yetti, they are thrown randomly into the woods where a future boy will think he has hit the jackpot one day!

I voted 'other' because I usually try to sell them anyways, if they aren't too ugly. You know, one mans trash is another mans treasure...
If they are REALLY bad they seem to just sit around in various places in my studio... I'm thinking that they will someday be frit but haven't quite gotten there yet.

I love the chain solution. I'd love to see a photo of what 41 years of a 'chain record' looks like

Let it set in shop until someone says they like it, then I say it's garbage and they take it home for free. Makes them happy and then.... They start collecting

I put them in a jar and sometimes take a bunch of pieces out and make a marble for a wine stopper or some other ornamental type of wine stopper topper.
