Default We finished our studio!

For our 31st wedding anniversary in June 2007 we purchased an 8x10 customized storage shed (which is the largest we could accomodate for our space). Our DIY plan was to finish the inside walls, install the ventillation, storage shelves and the floor. We actually thought we would be able to complete the work on the studio in about 4 weekends. We finished everything and began moving our equipment and supplies into the studio in January 2008. Although the actual work took us 7 months to complete, I know that it is well insulated and safe and I absolutely love (and use) every inch of my studio! Here are the pictures:

It only took the Shed Shop installer one day to build the studio!

Here is the finished shed. There is a 3x3 window in the front and a 4x3 window on the side. We also upgraded the door so that we could have as much natural light as possible. It was worth it!

DH installed insulation and drywall.

Here is the workbench that DH built.

Cabinet and ventillation installation.

Floor preparation

Yeah!! Tile floor completed. I'm no longer worried about dropping hot glass and ruining the floor.

Propane tank is housed in one of those garden hose containers.

I use one-half of the studio for stringing, wire work, and sewing.

Here's my AIM 420 Kiln which DH purchased for my birthday!

Storage area.
I also have a TV and stereo system there but it is really hard to hear with the HH torches.

This is the 8' work bench and this space is strictly for torching!
Second torch is used by my DH!

I am so thankful for my DH and my studio!

What a great studio! Your DH did a fantastic job with the sheetrock & floor. You two must be so happy in there making beads. Enjoy!
