Default Tips for Double Helix Boreas ?

Hi, I have just bought the new Double Helix Boreas, but I have
no idea if it's striking or reduction glass. Anyone know the best
way to work this new silver glass? Thank you.

Boreas is a reduction glass. It is a purple super-luster similar to BE 476. It is really pretty reduced and encased.

Elizabeth .... does it HAVE to be encased to get the pretty purple?

You will get a silvery luster if you reduce it and leave it unencased. I just prefer the MOP look of encased reduction glass.

You can also work this one like Clio, with a base of orange and clear, and get really pretty magenta when you encase.

Elizabeth, your beads are beautiful. I love the colors.
I think I am going to have some fun playing with Boreas.
