Default June Show and Tell

My apologies if a June show and tell thread has been started, I didn't see one! I wanted to share my second boro turtle. This little guy I decided to not make into a pendant due to its size. I encased clear with Momka's blue flambe for the body, and the rest of the turtle is blue flambe except that I did apply clear dots to the top of the turtle as well. I wish I had spent a little more time sculpting the top, because where I did it carefully it was close to the texture I was going for on the shell. I'm still a newbie

Cool stuff this month!

I finally got back to the torch again last weekend and did another piece of my series of sculptures taken from scanning electron microscopy of the mycological world. This is a new look at Microsporum midwayensis, a keratinophilic fungus that eats bird feathers and was discovered on Midway Island.

Default Some more of my marbles

Here are some more marbles that I recently made. Next time I'll try and have top, side & bottom shots. They are all boro, about 1 3/8" - 1 3/4".

Default Nana's pretties

That is what my 2 year old grandson calls them. I have been at this for less than a year and am loving it. Hubby is a roofer and in bed by 8 so I go to my torch. I told him he will know if I am leaving him cause I will have my sewing machine in one hand and torch in the other. This is my first time posting pictures. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Donna B.
