Default flat lap recommendation

I'm having one of those days, I guess, feeling like I have unlimited discretionary income to spend on bead stuff (not really, of course!). But, really, I do want to buy a lap grinder, interested in your picks and pans. Particularly interested in the Inland Swaptop because I'm 1) cheap, 2) lazy, 3) have limited space, and 4) don't expect to give it heavy use.

So, how about it guys and gals?

I use a HiTech lap. The attraction for the Swaptop is space and versatility, but in my experience multifunction tools often do many jobs poorly instead of one job well. I have limited space as well, but generally try to keep one job/tool.

I have one just like that brand new and has never been used. I'd sell it for $400 if anyone wants it plus shipping.

If I had the cash I would purchase! Every gem faire in our area a older gentleman demos that machine. I wish I could justify it!

You should put it in the garage sale.

I have a Crystalmaster 6 and am really happy with the job it does. You might check them out too.

This piece was done on my Ameritool 8" lap. The piece is about 5" tall.

The lap handled it very nicely. Took like 4 hours from first cut to final polish.

I actually have a grinder that I don't use anymore. I know you live nearby too!
I can do some research if you like. It's an Inland, but that's all I can remember because it's been a couple of years since I used it.
