Default New website

Please check out my new website. It is completely different to my previous site.

I like it, my friends like it, but my DH doesn't like it much. He is particularly critical about the navigation.

Please let me know what you think and how I could improve it.

Thanks
Jenn

I think it looks fine and don't understand what he doesn't like about the navigation. Personally, I could do without music.

Thanks BJ. I was in two minds about the music so have removed it.

Hi Jenn.
Good work. I don't mind the navigation at the top of the page.

To be honest, the background color is hurting my eyes a bit. But that might be the setting on my monitor .

Oh, and one of the sections is missing a link: "Beautiful Things" in your "Purchase Work" section is not linking to anything.

It took me a bit to find the navigation links at the top of the page. I would at least make them the same size as the text on the home page. Also several of the links have .htm at the end. I would remove the extensions from the display text.

Also, I it looks like you are using spaces in your file names. This is not a good idea since URLs do not handle spaces well. You can see that they get converted to %20 for the links. This causes problems with search engines and also when a customer tries to copy the URL. I would either remove the spaces or replace then with an underscore or hyphen. Hyphens are my preferred word divider.

Jenn, the problem is with the link in you signature not with the site. There are some garbage characters in front of the www.

my sound doesn't work, so I wouldn't be able to tell.
It took a while to download, but the beads are worth the wait.
