Default Is this the right regulator?

I just bought a propane regulator, and when I got it out of the box, it had engraved on it the word "acetylene". Then the paper in the box with it says to only use it with the fuel for which it was intended. Did I get the wrong thing?

Probably not......... Most "fuel" regulators are the same..... Most manufactures use internal parts that are resistant to all fuels (chemical group) and the connectors on regulators will only connect to hoses and tanks that are used for fuels....

Probably the only difference in acetylene regulator and propane regulators is marking on gauges..... Other than that, all the people using acetylene regulators for propane can't be wrong....
